Product operation

Smart baby monitors, including the SMARTBABY5 and SMARTBABY10, use the 2.4 GHz frequency range because of its greater range and better penetration through walls, which is essential for a stable connection throughout the home. This range is also compatible with virtually all home networks, including older systems, and is more energy-efficient. The camera is often on day and night, so that makes a difference :) Although 2.4 GHz can be more sensitive to interference due to the number of devices using this frequency, modern signal management techniques ensure a clear connection. This also applies to these models.

Solution

If your modem/router supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and you want to avoid having to adjust all devices on 5GHZ, consider setting up a separate guest Wi-Fi that operates only on 2.4 GHz. This ensures that your baby monitor can function optimally without having to change the settings of your main network, while at the same time you can continue to enjoy the benefits of both frequencies.

How to achieve this can be found in the manual of your modem/router or consult google for this. Example: create guest wifi (name provider). You can of course consult your provider for support or further advice.
