However, European certification bodies have updated their guidelines and now certify hearing protectors for use from the age of 5 years.

However, it is important to note that the suitability of hearing protectors depends not only on age, but also on your child's development. A crucial factor is that the fontanel has fully closed. In most cases, this is already the case for children from 1.5 years of age.

We therefore recommend that, in addition to following the new guideline, you also look at your child's individual development. Safety and comfort are paramount, and it is essential that the hearing protectors fit properly and are effective.
