Please check the following:

• Insert only batteries and do not use the adapter.
  If the camera works, the adapter is likely the cause.
• Remove the batteries and connect only the adapter.
  If the camera does not turn on, gently move the adapter connector.
  If the camera turns on and off, the connection in the camera may not be working properly.
• If none of the above works:
  There may be an issue with an internal component of the camera.
